RIAT 2015
The theme of this years airshow focused on aircraft from around the globe that help Secure the Skies, whether in support of combat missions, intelligence gathering, or providing airlift capability delivering vital humanitarian aid. From historic events such as the Battle of Britain, through to current day conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, the importance of controlling airspace continues to be powerfully demonstrated.
The main highlight for me was the participation of 2 Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force Kawasaki P-1 Maritime Patrol aircraft.
