The Van Berkel W-B was a single engine Dutch long range reconnaissance seaplane built in the early 1920s for work in the Dutch East Indies. Six were operated by the Dutch Naval Aviation Service (MLD) with disappointing results,
The WB floatplanes had flutter and stability problems, though the last two were not decommissioned until 1933.
There are no profiles or line-drawing images from the van Berkel WB. So in making a profile I used photo’s from IPMS Nederland and the color schemes from KW Jonker’s website and drawing from the Hansa-brandenburg W29.
