I dod made Vought F4U Corsair long time ago but in the meantime I have much progressed and upgraded my technique in Photoshop so it is past time to start brand new layout of this famous plane. For the start I will do F4U-5 model.

Great choices! In your first new one today, Sun Setter was the paint scheme chosen by the Smithsonian for their F4U many years ago--I have a magazine that featured the restoration of their airplane. (It wasn't really the original Sun Setter.) And a couple examples later, #29 from Intrepid is the scheme I picked for a model in the early eighties.

Haha- great, I did not know that, thank you mate :))

Here's my old F4U, dusty and dirty but still intact. I built this one for my wife when we were dating in the late 1970s and she displayed it at her apartment. It's an Otaki (my favorite Corsair kit even now) and I scratchbuilt the wing folding stuff:

What a great built!!!! And kit history :-love
-
Thanks, mate!
When we had been dating for a year or so I took her to an airshow and she told me the Corsair was her favorite airplane--the gull wings and so on, so I built her this one a while later. I seem to remember I gave it to her as a birthday present in 1978 or '79. It's one of the few of my old builds that I have no intention of restoring, even though it could use some updates, as you see!

:-ok

Goood !

Thanks :))
