Very big machine...
I love this aircraft, I can't wait to see what you do with it.!
-
Nice to hear that somebody has interest in this machine and here you are next update :))
-
Panels lines, more need to be made :-crazy
-
All panels done
-
This goes fast!
Nice :-clap
-
Excellent!
-
Heavy bird... :-eek
Seen once model in 1/48 - it was HUGE!!
But wouldn't mind to lay my hands on 1/72... :-think
-
Thank you friends :-razz Now I start work with shadows :-wall
-
More details add...
-
This is progressing somehow... :-roll
-
Very close to the very first color profile ;)
-
Nice progress! :-ok
Found one of later version, really interesting, from Korean war, old and dirty work-horse:
-
This is NOT a Sunderland, but one of the two prototypes of the Short Shetland!
-
And this is worn out Sunderland :))
-
Splendid work! :-clap :-clap :-clap and very interesting plane!
-
Love it! I especially like the discoloured hull from the sea water. Great work.
-
Thank you :-ok
-
Nice, though I would question the black on the underside of the hull and floats - I think this would have been shadow.
-
My oh my... :-red I was so eager to find some unusual paint scheme, that I didn't look out for the plane I was posting... I could as well post some Fw 200 :-wall
OK, this was ancestor of Sunderland, but nevertheless... :-red :-red sorry once again...
-
I am not sure, there was used black but more light is welcome about the bottom... On image it look like faded protective color
-
Flying boat parts under water were treated with a coat of anti-fouling white. Must have been clearly more 'off-white' than the glossy white type 'C' as specified for flying boats!
Reference: British aviation colours of World War Two, RAF Museum books series Vol.3.
Book is an absolute must!!
-
If experts say white- this is white!
-
There we go - very nice, Srecko!
The shadows were pretty dark on that photo, so I can certainly see why you thought it might be black.
-
One more machine...
-
Looks great. One thing with this one (Isn't there ALWAYS one thing...! ) is that it had the single colour uppers - EDSG only - by this stage of the war.
-
Well- is this samples used in operations in Biscay?
-
I don't have my references with me at this time, but I had checked them before I left. As I recall, this squadron was part of a group that did BoB patrols during early 1945, from the airfield where this squadron was based.
-
Thank you mate :-ok
-
And correct colors...
-
Splendid!
-
I like this bird, and this profiles! :-love
:-clap
-
Well, well, well :-love :-love :-love if you ask me what is the airplane, then this is it. I like this bird so much that if I was some heavy billionaire, I would certainly have and fly one (if not old one but the replica for sure). :-green
Extraordinary bird, wonderful profiles :-ok :-clap :-clap :-clap :-clap :-clap :-clap :-wave
-
Thank you mate :-ok
