I make one new version of the tempest in one Mk.V late series NV706/SA-F, No.486 (New Zeland) Squadron, Venvolw (Holland), early 1945 this aircraft shot down 2 V1 :-tri
-
Great profile! The blue colour of the roundels looks a bit too saturated and too purple perhaps, though.
...Venvolw (Holland)...
You meant "Venlo" I assume? :)
-
thank you for you compliments Skyraider3D :) :-red
about the color of the roundels you are right I use one my old version (old experiment) not original raf color only simple blu and red... :-green this week enk I will correct them :))
about ...Venvolw (Holland)... I take my info from Scale Aviation Modeller International December 2002...
one dutch friend already tell me its wrong... and he write this for me...
...only one thing...as far as I know there is no Venvolw in "Holland", the only thing that comes near is Venlo, but No.486 was never stationed there.
No.486 was stationed in The Netherlands (not "Holland", Holland is a province of The Netherlands not the country itself, a common mistake ) from October 1944 to April 1945 at Volkel
I already correct my webpage but I forgot to update the info on let let forum :-wall :-wave
Cheers,
Saantino
-
In some reason can not open page but will try later :( :-salut
-
I was stationed near Venlo in 1984, the wife loved going shopping there :-help and the Dutch beer is not too bad :-roll

I see now! Santino- use transform when make bolts- as you going to uoer surface they becoming eliptical. So Ctrls-T and then rotate it ans resize it vertical. Then this one copy above the and make new transform.

Very risky on my wallet old friend :))

"The Netherlands" is indeed the correct word for our country (I'm Dutch) but "Holland" is often used too. Originally "Holland" only meant the west provinces of the country.
PS. Some nice Tempest related sites:
