I don't have any exact information on the four conversions, No.1, but I'd assume they looked much like the production amphibians.
You'll never find the information - rest assured, there were NO conversions of four planes, just the prototype and further production run of 36 samples.

I wondered about the "conversions" when I read that information. I've got a very old U.S. Military Aircraft reference book that mentions this idea but without Bureau Numbers or other evidence. Thanks for clarifying this!
