I like your profile of a Republican I-16. I've alway been interested in the Spanish Civil War. I have a book about Frank Tinker called AIRMEN WITHOUT PORTFOLIO: U.S. Mercenaries in Civil War Spain by John Carver Edwards. It is an interesting read. I believe Tinker flew an I-15 on most of his sorties.
