Fokker C.5 drawings
« on: February 26, 2010, 10:49:12 PM »
Srecko and I have been working on a series of profiles for the Fokker C.5. That's because I have written a book about this important Dutch aircraft.

The C.5 proves to be a difficult aircraft, since there are so many variants! This became apparent once we started work.

My book will be available in august of this year and will be titled "Fokker C.5 - ontwikkeling, gebruik en ondergang" (design, operational use and destruction) and deals with the Dutch use of the aircraft. Later this year, or early 2011 I will finish a book about the international use of the Fokker C.5!

I will keep you updated when there is news!

Here are some impressions of the work we have done;

Work started with an old Fokker drawing;

On which a big amount of drawings was based;

And the first variant is finished!

Must say that I am in the same time frightened and impressed with project! What make me to feel unpleasant is the fact that this is very important inter war airplane, used by many countries and build in many variants and to our regret with exception of the old Profile publications, nothing is published about this machine. But I like challenges and work on this nice shaped machine is as much as hard, in other hand great pleasure.

You are really brave man as well you dare to work on this airplane but as well I have seen a lot of the material, I am sure that book will be milestone of this airplane once when published.

And you said August... well I must hurry with other works on drawings and profiles :)

Keep on good work mate :-clap

Few months. This is very complex project, at first glance idea was to make typical sample but very soon was realized that there is no typical sample so this delayed much work on type.
