For sure not for dog fight! I am sure you know that MiG-21 pilots wear that type of suite. But that was interceptor. Just one note- my color profile base have one shortcomings, no bomb rack!

The bomb racks were mounted or not as needed.  On the F3F-1s, you don't seem to see them used as much as on the -2s and -3s.  I'll dig into my drawings and find one of the rack.

Today I will make this example of number 4, second section. Color bands around cowling and fuselage are white with thin black outline 15 inches wide on nose, 20 on fuselage. Any suggestion before I screw up whole thing... BTW- unknown source of image  :-think

Srecko,

That photo that you posted is a production shot from the movie that I mentioned, "Dive Bomber".  You can see that sam a/c in the 2 color screen grabs that I posted.  I'll find you a good shot of the VF-6 insignia.  Here a couple of shots of the Wylam plans of the F3F.  I had to chop them up for uploading.  Compare them very closely with photos before taking them at face value.  There are some mistakes that have been repeated in all later plans that I've found, which were evidently based on these.  As an example, the rudder in the plan curves under as it meets the fuselage:  in reality the trailing edge of the rudder was a straight line as it met the fuselage in all versions.

I also posted a photo of the bomb rack.

Here you go, Srecko.  The writing on the shooting star reads "Fighting Six".
