« on: July 08, 2010, 03:11:56 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I'm a new guy here with a very rough draft of a L-1049.

I use Illustrator, but have no clue on how to use photoshop.

All the best.

I see this is version with tip tanks. At Aviodrome we have one without tip tanks.
It was restored in the USA and flown to Holland some years ago. Here are some shots I took of this beatiful plane. I still hope to see it flying someday!

Yeah a good start. Work done in illustrator has a different look to it than work done in photoshop, it all depends on what you are trying to achieve with the profile. Your image reminds me of what you would see on the instructions of a model kit explaining the paint scheme, decals etc.

That's how I started... I do draw decal art, mainly for model airliners. I came here to see how to do my work in PS and bring my AI skills to a new level.
