This is something that I do when painting these things and I'm wondering if anybody else does this to have a palette of the colors that they've used for, say, shadows, etc.  You can, of course, just erase it when the painting is done.

Help needed,

Does any one knows were I can see a clear image of the marking (see attached image) seen in the aircraft of 1 Lt Charles "Chick" Cleveland of the 334Th F.I.S. "Lady Luck"
also, if possible, a link to photos of the above aircraft

All the help will be very much appreciated

That's the insignia of the 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing (they started out as the RAF Eagle Squadron in WWII).  I know that I've got it several places, but you should be able to find it through Google search.

  I take it back, that insignia applies only to the 334th FIS.  The size and orientation (facing forward or back) of the insignia seems to vary from plane to plane, so it would be helpful if we could find a photo of that particular a/c.
