Very cool. Air America flew those in Laos as well as the USAF in Vietnam, I've always felt sorry for those guys.

Thank you :)) The first sample- O-1A that was assigned to the 74th Aviation Company (Aerial Surveillance) near Saigon in 1972.

Everything start with this machine- this L-19 was display in August 1951 in the Wichita, near plant of Cessna, and it have label on it 'PLEASE! Give me a name'. Name Bird Dog is given by General Mark W. Clark, Army Field Forces chief

I'm sorry to bring this back to the top. I'm drawing decals (the Airfix 1/72nd kit) for an USAF FAC trainer flown out Florida during the late sixties. This airplane had the red and white candy stripe aft fuselage. It also had the top of the wings painted red and white, a very colourful scheme.
What I need to know is, what does the placard say beneath the left forward winshield? Under the serial number/type placard.
