Warplane Art / Re: 109E WIP
« on: June 25, 2010, 04:25:47 AM »
Hi Guys,

I started this profile (my first and only to this point) on June 24, 2006, now, exactly 2 years later, I am done - just a bit of clean up to do on the background.

I worked on average only about 15 minutes a night on it which in total amounts to over 200 hours. I had to teach myself Photoshop along he way and that slowed things down considerably. I also started over many times but in the end it was all worth it, I am almost sad that I am finished.

So here it guys, tell me what yiou think and thanks for all of your help along the way.

Matt

Final work for this turn  :-tri

Wow! You are an amazing talent. In the two years I have spent learning and trying my hand at profiles I have looked at a lot of other people's work. Yours still stands out as the best, I proclaim you as the best profile artist in the world!

Famous Hat in the ring unit  :-ok

Very cool! My fatrher saw a lot of P-80s when he was with the army during the Korean War. He
witnessed a pilto eject from one before it exploded.

Cool subject!

some little progress...  :-wave

I like it. But then again, I like your original too. I think outlined profiles such as your first profile have a place depnding on how they are being published.

Make sure you keep both!

No.1, is this for a publication?

I like looking for your work at the bookstore here in Canada, I was just wondering if you have anything coming up in some magazines.

Here you are one attack plane but in some different colors :)

Nice work No.1, it seems weird seeing a Typhon in German colors, but a nice captured a/c profile.

Thanks Profa, my friend :-flo :-flo

Here is a third sketch,,not a whole plain, but I think it has the best atmosphere of all. Also I put them all together in Photo Shop and played a little.

I still do this drawings with black marker, on the small papers (rest of the electricity, phone and internet bills :-smey). but soon I'll take some real paper and graphite pencil or charcoal.:-wave

Love the 3rd sketch Letipapa, you are right it is the best of them. It just captures the personality of the Tempest the best. The sepia tone composite of the 3 sketches together is also cool, I can see it as a book cover.

Well, as I am working on the model of Tempest Mk V, I decided suddenly (inspired by No1's start of art work on the night scene with Me 262) to start a serial of sketches of Tempest. First one is very rudimentary and bad; didn't care much about proportions, perspective etc, just wanted to start. I hope next few will be much better. :) :-wave

The idea is sound Letipapa, is this a series of concept sketches for a painting? A good start, the only way to get it to where you want it to be is to keep worrking.
