I've received a new order for a horse...
The figure ("Cheval nu" - Naked horse) comes from "Les Carnutes"
http://carnutesfigurines.blogspot.be/
A very nice figure; I've already worked on one (see the topic "Riboy)
-
My first work was to wash the figure in a bath of water + soap.
Then: sanding. Lot of molding lines to remove. There is also some holes present in the resin, that will need for miliput or putty.
Little defaults, easy to correct...
-
All the molding lines are removed; figure sanded and parts glued together with the new "21" cyano glue that is excellent...
-
Is it parts perfect or you merge it perfectly?
-
Parts are really good and fit closely to perfect. :)
-
Miliput...
-
Excellent application!!!
-
Thank you! ;)
-
Figure is sanded and placed on a base that will be used for the painting stages...
-
Now magic starting ;)

Interesting shape on head, will be interesting to see final result :)

Better to paint same mix in one sitting I think... ;)
-

Thank you Modellius!
Little progress. I have to paint the eyes now...
-
Use of Vandycke Brown for some darkening
-
Top effect!!

Thank you! ;)

-
Unbelievable :-eek Amazing result on eye :-clap :-clap :-obey :-obey

Thank you my friend!
When the painting of the eyes is well done, figure comes to life...
-
First photo depicts all the material I was needing for that work: woob base, Piedra Pomez, Vallejo and Citadel colors, needles, PVC glue and grass.
Yesterday I made a mix of Piedra Pomez and Vallejo color "flat earth" that I let to dry for the night.
Today, first a drybrush with some green and brown colors, but also a little bit of red and yellow.
Then, PVC glue is applied evenly.
Grass is put in quantity; then the base is placed on the back for two reasons: to remove the surplus of grass, and to make the remaining grass standing.
Finally the hors can be placed...
Now, just awaiting for the name plate ;)

Look so great! One question- long time ago when I was subscribed on Verlinden magazine (that was in 1991/92), I have seen static grass and I did not see it for a long time that any use it. Any similar product anywhere?

Don't know for the grass. Foe the one I use, two sources: train hobby shops, and Warhammer...

I received the plates today. Big thank to my friend René Lieutenant!
Now Ragtime is finished, and ready to be delivered to my friend tomorrow...
