Just few question...

- is it more easy to press louvres on soft wood instead over the edge of glass?

- I hear for Gator glue, is it thick density? It is interesting as well it is acrylic

- turnbuckles... what method you are using to make it?

- I think it could be good too to press louves on soft wood - Perheaps even better than my method... I didn't have thinked to soft wood...

- Gator glue haves the density of PVC glue. Very interresting to place little parts that you need a little bit time to adjust or position perfectly. Te reverse of the medal is that you cannot use that glue for fast work because she needs a looong time to dry - But when dry, it's hard!!! Another advantage is that when placing a part, if you have glue in excess, you simply remove the excess with a paintbrush with water...

- For the turnbuckles, I will use the method of "Agiosdimitrios" that you can see on Theaerodrome:

Good about the Gator, it look also to be perfect for other parts, like transparent. Interesting method for turnbuckles, I use method described in one special issue of Japanese magazine Model Art.

Thin wire, make a loop around another thin wire but made from steel, hard steel. Turning until get loop just around hard wire.

Very interresting! I will have to give a try to both method before to decide wheter to use for the Spad...

After a few day "out of business" due to professional reasons, I'm back on the Spad...

The exhausts: here is what I can to as best with the PE. I'm not really happy of that...

More than that, the attachment system to the fuselage is complex (two PE parts), too fine and too long. I think I will use the kit parts, that I will try to ameliorate.

I've also tried to form the trap under the engine. Unsucessfully...

I will try again, but later, after the demi-fuselage will be glued together. But I'm thinking to "B" plan: the use of the kit part that, of course, I will have to ameliorate too...

Looks fine to me and I think that this will look good when complete. It is true that PE parts give power to model but can not be always perfect.

We have all or own limits with PE parts... And, as always with PART photoecth, some parts are simply too hard to use successfully...

Again, a little bit of work with PE before painting...

Not less than 8 parts for that result - But from far better than the kit part (only one element)
