Title: SAAB A.32 Lansen
Post by: No.1 on January 26, 2012, 09:47:07 AM
Finally get some time to start this build. First at all I made images of all parts to have them archived. Kit is great from my point but need some experience to be build and it have some old style features like the ejection pins in the mid of the parts. Long time ago we could live with this and build great kits so it can be done now  :-ok

Post by: Ernie on January 26, 2012, 11:39:09 AM
Yes, those ejection pins look like they will take a fair amount of work to remove from alot of the parts, and fixing the one in the middle of the landing gear insert will be tough if it is going to be visible. Still, looks to be a decent kit though when it is all cleaned up.

Interesting to know that SAAB  had developed with success its own ejector seat!
First plane fitted with this device was SAAB J.21 twin-boom pusher fighter.

Great progress, No.1.

Nico mentioned the SAAB ejection seat and it is another example of what a strong group of engineers and builders worked in their Aviation department. I've always admired SAAB's aircraft production and design.

Strange problem. Perheaps the quality of the plastic of the kit can be responsible for that?

I don't know, plastic is good. Maybe black coat I use as base or something else. But I am back on old good materials and this will not happen again
