Hello :-salut
Some decades ago (exactly in July 1989) I modified Revell's Bf 109 G-10 (issued in1978 !) into a Bf 109 G-6/AS. But not completely because I kept the big wheel fairings on the uppersurfaces and that's not accurate... :-red The stains of the engine are in true soot collected on the blade of a knife from a candle and brushed on the mat paint. Spinner always freehand-painted.
This model represents a plane of 7./JG 1 at Anklam in the fall of 1944. The plane is painted RLM 76 all around with standard markings, including the red fuselage band of the JG 1 which was part of the Reichsluftverteidigung (Air defense of the German territory). The engine fumes
