Well, the Spitfire MK II is now completely finished!!! Nice setting (hard one) for the placement of cables... But it's OK and here is the beast.
Last photo (over a mirror) is the way I will present the kit in contest...

Very nice Spitfire, and just the right amount of weathering and paint chipping!

I'm actually in Dijon, France, due to dramatic events here...

In the train, I've read a book of my collection: "350th Fighter Squadron 1941-2006" - Colonel Aviateur J. JACOBS. The book contains a photo of the Spitfire MK II MN-A and gives the name of the pilot:

Wing Commander Désiré GUILLAUME; first Belgian CO of the 350th Sqn, from 20/03/42 until 20/12/42.

I'm glad to have found this information...

Back on the Spitfire XVI...

Well, I was not happy with the result obtained for the wings. So, I've decided to apply more putty; to sand again and then to rescribe panels lines.

Photos below show you the different phases: putty sanded; dymo tape used as a guide for rescribing; rescribing in progress and the final result.

See the last one: now, I'm fully happy and work can continue!

Well, it's the same tape, my friend. Just my technique that gives a false impression: I cut in zigzag the tape on the lenght. To make it less large; and to make two guides in one same length...
Why in zigzag?
To be sure that the good (right) side is well placed...
