Yes, door will remain closed. I own a cockpit detail set, but not a vacform canopy (needed to be cut) and have no intention to acquire one... 1/48 is more easy for detailing ;)

A bit stronger but it is good in such tiny and not much open cockpit ;)

Use of Tamiya pastel "Snow"; then assembly of the cockpir elements and finally fuselage and wings and ailerons are assembled together
