I just purchased a container of Vallejo "RAF Azure" that looks pretty close to the real thing.

This IX will be in the normal European colors because I didn't think I'd find the Azure blue for the desert scheme. Upper grey went on this and the little Bf-109 tonight.

Looks great, No.1. The British had several dimensions of roundels so I wouldn't worry about that too much!

The Mk.IX is curing and will get clear gloss coat tonight (maybe, if time allows).

Almost complete. Need to do some leaks, fade and dirt and put radio wire. Not before Monday ;)

Looks great, No.1! I like the markings choice with the G on the rudder--uncommon in the RAF.

Here's the ICM Mk.IX in 31st Fighter Group markings. I couldn't resist the Lady Ellen III markings (my lovely wife's name is Ellen as well) and the 31st Group flew missions over my dad's head when he was in Italy. The ICM kit is a bit fiddly in places but turns into a nice Spitfire. It's pretty well out-of-the-box except for the markings and Hasegawa wingtips.
