I received today the Cup of the IPMS Belgium Challenge.
That challenge is won by the best Belgian aircraft/vehicle/material entered in contest during the National Convention.
To win the cup, it was needed to win the challenge three times: I won in 2007 with my 1/72 T-15 tank; in 2009 with my1/72 Automitrailleuse SAVA, and in 2012 with my 1/72 Spitfire MK II of the 350 Belgian Sqn.
On the photo, I'm on the left; on the right is Didier Waelkens, President of IPMS Belgium.
Other friends that were present: Roger Lothaire and Jacques Podjelski. The reception was made at home; with as aperitive rhubarb wine made by a cousin of mine; good spaghetti bolognese prepaired by my wife and accompanied with an excellent Italian Valpolicella; excellent whisky from France (Yes, really: from Champain!!!) as digestive and after that our good local beer!
Demo of painting figure with oil paint made by Jacques, long discussions about Belgian material and kits... A very nice day!
