Dear friends,
very bad last days for me, due to the health troubles. So all sensitive jobs like drawings, illustrating, paintings, as well masking work on Su-27... are stay away. This is new kit from Eduard and I work it while laying in bed. The same kit is great and it will be great build. For references I use manual of this plane, some archive image in collection but also close examination of the camouflage colors.
This will not be fast build as it can be but at least I hope I can relax with this work...

I like the new modeling topic! :-love :-love
Nice bird,realy... :-salut
Happy work! :)) :-ok

Yep, it's going to take whole 7 days instead of usual 3 to finish it... :-think
Nice work so far, and hope you'll get better soon! :-ok
-
Thank you for nice words :-love Well, I am not much better but kit is progress somehow...

That's what I was talking about - one day, and construction is already finished :-clap... while I'm trying just to get my head out of cockpit for 2 days... :-wch

great progress :-clap

Thank you :-ok Few images of the sample preserved at Praha Kbely and tomorrow next set of images.

Images of yesterday work. There is remain some surface clean up and canopy mounting with masking steps. Theoretically it can be completed today but practically I am not sure.
-
This goes quickly! :-love :-love :-jump :-jump
-
Can be faster but not in this moment... maybe to make modeling camp, somewhere near lake, woods, bring full modeling equipment and work seven days, all days only kits.
-
:)) :)) :-ok

Seen it today, and, apart from small flaws, it's great build :-clap (and unusually slow, if I might notice :-think :)))
Here are some walk arounds of the real thing:
Prague-Kbely: http://www.plastikowe.pl/galerie/lotnictwo/lawoczkin-la-7-s-97
Ivan Kozhedub's mount at Monino museum, Russia: http://scalemodels.ru/modules/photo/viewcat_cid_142.html
Here's small history & description article, along with a profile of this Lavrenkov's 'white 17': http://www.airpages.ru/eng/ru/la7.shtml
It is dated winter 1944/45. It's of notice that spinner and arrow are white, and only front part of the cowling is red. It may be that Eduard missed it a little, or may be the author of this profile is wrong, or it was repainted in the meantime :-think
BTW, didn't know that ShVaks were painted red ;)
-
Color profile look so good and bring new light on this kit. I have strictly refer this build on Eduard assembly booklet and I am really wonder was is real. About the red machine guns... well, you know me, in hurry to display image to forum friends I always forget to complete some bits. For article this is with regular color.

Outstanding work :-clap :-clap :-clap
-
Thank you :))
