More photos on a rainy winter day. This weather made me think of the ground and aircrews who had to keep these interceptors ready for immediate action no matter the conditions.

Thank you!

I should have mentioned that the real DDR MiG-21 687 is still with us and in nice condition at Deutsches Museum Flugwerft Schleissheim. She last served with JG-3 before reunification.

I'm glad that some of the former East German machines were preserved, and a bit sad to know that so many were scrapped, but we can't save every warplane, I suppose. From the research I have done on 687 it looks like the airplane is just as it was when retired from service.

Excellent job Scott :-ok Looks awesome, and nice job on the research as well, it is nice to know a little about the real machine, and good to know it is still around.

I'm probably pretty late on this one. This model is really bad and I lost my enthusiasm.

Anyway, this is almost done. Decals are Balkan models because original from the kit are way out of scale. Numbers here are too big, but in Attack version is even bigger.

If u want decent 1/144 MiG-21, go for Eduard.

Yes, glad to see your completed machine! The '21 looks great in NMF.

And, don't ever be concerned about adding to one of our GB threads at a later time. I like to think they're open-ended so that we can always add projects or comments whenever we want to.
