Here is the Yak-9 "practice" build. This is quite a simple kit (not unlike the real machine) and could have benefitted with some scratchbuilding. I did cut the canopy open and made a new sliding portion. I still enjoyed building it and it helps me with planning for the next one. The ICM decals were used, but be warned if you desire to use these kit decals. They are VERY thin and are rather brittle. I cleared the sheet with varnish to help the brittleness, but they still require an extremely long time soaking in water before they come free from the backing paper. Once they were ready to apply they went on absolutely beautifully--no silvering whatsoever and they snuggled down very well.
