I shall not buy vintage kits; I shall not buy vintage kits; I shall not buy vintage kits.
Damn; just could not resist this one for only a few Euro's!!
-
Ah... I also should stop my self :)) Nice topic to display outdated kits here ;)
-
Virtual vintage kits museum?????
-
That would be great!
I built that Thunderbolt when I was young but only a couple of pieces survived.

Virtual vintage kits museum?????
Lets make it ;)

Here are a couple of mine from the "unbuilt" section. These were bought at an antique store some years ago along with a number of other older kits. The boxes of these look even older than the kits really are!

This MiG-21 is great!! :-clap :-clap
-
Until you open the box and look inside! The kit is a VERY basic thing but the outline is accurate. Mine is missing the canopy so I'll use one from the spares box when I build this.
-
Will you build it one day? :-think
-
Great!!! Must start photographing my samples :))

This will be my first Inpact kit:

I just bought this for less than $8.00, and I intend to build it!
-
Inpact? Never have anything from this manufacturer
-
Inpact and Pyro both produced this kit but I don't know which was first. Now Lindberg has the molds as I understand it. The kit looks really quite nice for fifty or more years old!
-
Lindberg also had 1/48 kits of the Fairey Flycatcher, Gloster Gauntlet and Hawker Fury biplane!
I still use the old Flycatcher box for my spare parts.....
Assume these are all old Inpact kits!
-
I agree, Nico. I have parts of my Pyro Fury and I remember enjoying building it when I was a youth.
-
Very good to hear that Flycatcher are available at all, it was British carrier operating fighter of the time ;)
-
Purchased the Lindberg biplane kits in 1982 in our city mall.
Wished I had also saved the boxes of the other kits!
At least I still have the built models..........
