Greetings all,
this kit wait me from early summer and here is finally chance to start it. This is AZ Model kit, very simple but good, it have one fret of plastic parts, one with transparent, pack or resin parts and sheet of etched parts. Decals cover several operators and most interesting is that in pack is two kits provided. The same build goes fast, some 30 minutes need to complete it into the shape.

Yesss! I saw that bird lately live :)) :-wave
-
:-tri
-
This kit is completed in two short sessions and it is in stage of painting now.
-
Little lovely chopper. :-love
-
Right now it look like this :)
-
That helicopter sounds like an egg with a tail... Funny one, but nice build.
For the clear parts, will you use some product to obtain a better clarity?
Personnally I use Klir (equivalent of Future) that gives very good results.
-
I also use this product but super glue I use penetrate through its coat. In future I will use Gunze Super Gloss it is much better for that.
-
One detail- top transparent cover was in transparent green color so I made mix of the artist protective varnish and green color and make one coat in the top area. On image this look completely covering but actually this is transparent.
-
What a shame for foggy transparent parts :-roll - otherwise pretty good build! :-ok
-
Superglue gives sometimes very bad reactions...
When I'm sure that the clear part will not risk to b e accidentally removed, I prefer to glue them with white glue used for wood (delyed with a little bit of water), or PVC glue.
Exemple: for a canopy posed ON the kit, I use Wood-or PVC glue. For a window placed in the interior of the aircraft and that risk to go away if touched accidentally, then no other choice than superglue...
-
Nico Braas told me the same few years ago, he use that method. This is why I have ask you some times ago about the acrylic glue you are using in your builds. In general- this issues occur when the transparent parts are completely closed, it look like that little evaporate etch to the surface.
-
You're right for what concerns the Gator glue, Srecko, I've forgotten to speak about it here, sorry...
Of course, Gator glue will give in such case excellent results, and is more strong than other glues I mentioned. I you buy that glue, don't hesitate to use it for canopies and clear parts!
-
No need to be sorry, forum is large and who can remember what is inside. Please tell me some good online shop here in Europe where I can buy it?
-
I bought that glue at A2Zee Models, Scotland.

Actually out of stock, but contact Allistair here for infos about disponibility:
a2zeemodels@aol.com
I don't know if there are other sellers in Europe...
-
For gluing transparent parts to the model I'm using either enamel gloss varnish or white (wood) glue. Parts stay clear...
-
This is perfect- thank you :-ok
-
A much earlier version of this nice little helicopter was released many years ago by Tamiya at 1/48 scale as the OH-6 Cayuse with decals both for U.S Army or Japanese MSDF. I still have it unbuild in my inventory ('The Nico Braas Model Kit Museum'- Just joking!!). Kit must be at least 30 years old.

This look like wonderful kit Nico :-flo
This image show protective tape, used to mark V shape which will be paint yellow.
-
This is completed somehow... one day I will remove transparent parts and polish them... maybe :-think
