Finally the two halves are joined and the long task of filling imperfections has started.

Thanks, mate. :-flo I'm really thankful this won't be in natural metal finish or I would have never started the rebuild. :-paper

Yes, my primer bottle ran dry!

Now some rescribing and more filler.....but the basics are looking better.

Further progress has been made on the Flying Wing project. I've decided on a single-seat night fighter version. First the RLM 75 followed by 76 mottle and black undersides:

(The resin cockpit bits are from my first Hs 123, soon to have its own thread.)

Thanks, Ernie. I ended up patterning the camo after the "reverse" scheme used on late He-219 series. I didn't really think that spraying the 76 over the 75 would work but it didn't turn out too bad. My initial plan was to do the crosshatch pattern as seen on some Ju-88 night fighter fuselages but this didn't pan out..... :-wall

Here are a few photos of the completed "what if" Ho-229 in Wilde Sau nightfighter colors. This one has the FuG 228 antenna system of single masts rather than the stag's antlers array on the nose (I didn't want to destroy the lines of the wing with all that plumbing). Another of my old builds is redone!:
