Dear friends,
some time ago you have spotted this kit as new arrival and it moment to start build it. This kit is new release from Brengun and it is in 1/72 scale. It give overal look as short run kit but it actually have excellent part quality. First set of images show what you could have in package and there is additional etched set released by same manufacturer.
First step was apply of thin coat of surfacer and after that spray of interior green.

Thank you :)) here you are progress on cockpit parts ;)
-
Very nice details on this kit and good job! :-clap
-
Excellent details here, for certain!
-
Must continue build tomorrow, I like it much :)
-
With some extra effort I manage to close fuselage and start work on wings. Elements inside are too tight and need some pressure during curing.
-
:-clap :-ok :-clap
-
Full shape :))

:-ok :-clap

Hi mate, :-salut
Here is a nice kit. Well detailed it seems to be delightful. But, what is the reason for having an extra fin ?
I bought recently Academy's Typhoon, but... it's a not very good kit with an inaccurate outline of the nose impossible to improve ! The motor axle is too low.
Jicehem :-wave
-
Extra tail is intended to replace tail from fuselage and it have different chord thickness for horizontal tail. The kit look pretty accurate but need some extra grind work to fit the parts.
-
Due to the high pressure on work, I have much slow down work on kits and worst at all I don't get chance to take image of progress. Here you are Typhoon and to regret I forget to alter flaps for the upgrade with flaps from etched set.
-
This looks nice! :-clap
Don't worry about etched flaps. ;)

Great! :-ok
-
Again kit from Brengun but this time early version :)
-
Interresting one too!
-
This was still the version without the tail strengthened but already armed with the 20 mm guns.
Very first versions had only machine gun armament.
-
I would like to make this very first, they also have metal rear part of cockpit. Did they seen operational service?
-
Back to work :))

Thank you mate, new progress and I need to add more images :) Must push it and complete soon as well many builds need to complete.
-
Canopy is frame marked, later just to cover inside with additional tape. I spray inside landing gear compartment a coat of dark grey for better corner effect when spray medium grey later. And final kit image show kit with coat of silver, for worn out paint effect. Last three images show the subject I plan to do.
-
This looks like a fine subject to model, and it's interesting to see the photos were taken at Gatwick.
-
Looks good, the kit has very nice detail in the landing gear bays, not like alot of 1/72 scale kits which have just open holes. This looks like a very nice kit.

-
Good morning :-razz Little shine over kit, preparing for decals :))
-
I have seen at IPMS meeting many years ago a short movie on D-Day preparations of Typhoons with invasion markings. The invasion stripes were applied by hand from a tin of paint with a brush and as we could see it was applied not all too accurate in great hurry without even taping the rest of the wing..... And yes, people seeing the movie were laughing!!
-
I have seen similar images but also very precise application of stripes. To regret I did not have any good image of bottom so I follow instructions on the kit box.
-
Looks good though, very colorful :-ok
Ernie
