Focke Wulf Fw 190 A-5/U11

Hi all,
Everybody says the Frog's Fw 190 is an A-3 but the total length matches the one of the Fw 190 A-5... Having got the markings of the plane (Fw 190 A-5/U11) of Lt Erich Hondt, I decided to apply these markings to an old Frog's kit that I found only badly built "from the box" and without paint at all... I restored it. And on the same occasion I detailed it : I cut out the wheel wells which were totally missing. I lengthenned the spinner. I replaced too the MG 17 cowling that I took on a Heller kit of the Fw 190 F-3 and also the gondolas for the twin 20 mm canons. The canons themselves are made of hypodermic needles. I replaced too the original canopy which was covered with cement... I detailed also the front part of the BMW engine. I added the small mast at the top of the fin.
I know only one photograph of Hondt's plane. Usually it's given with a yellow fuselage band for the JG 11 but due to the date (November 1943) I don't agree with this assertion because at this date, most of the
Reichsluftverteidigung
had red bands. The one-third part of the spinner is for the I. Gruppe and the red lower par of the engine cowling is for the 2. Staffel.
And now are the pictures. The first one has been taken under the same angle than the one of the real plane. The red "arrows" on tne fuselage are a too brillant color red. The German red matches more the painted band around the fuselage end.
