Thanks, y'all! Ellen really needs the vacation more than I do. We'll be at a WWII Army Air Field reunion/open house in McCook, Nebraska for the weekend and then ? for a few more days. I'll still check in to see everyone elses efforts here......

Lots of job to do, barely some time to model... :-roll
Anyway, I found some time to fix sink-marks found on struts (first two pics) using CA glue, and to start painting lower surfaces Humbrol 140.
Pics 3-4 show first coat, then there's a comparison between one and two coats, and last pair of pics shows both planes with two coats. I have also painted lower surface of upper wing of the second plane flat black - this is Vallejo ModelColor.
First coat have dried for 3 days, until today I've found some time to continue... Next coat (and last, I hope) should follow tomorrow... Meanwhile I'll try to find appropriate Gialo Mimetico :-think

Excellent to see you making progress, Profa. I know what you mean about many jobs to do--we're at home but on vacation and I don't seem to have time to visit the model table.

If it will help, my project upper surfaces are in Gaillo Mimetico 3 and I found Humbrol 94 to be pretty close. I added a few drops of white to it to dull it a bit.

I was thinking the same way :-ok, only that I shall not use white - weathering will do the job :-think

And in my case the base color will be less important when all is finished! ;)

Noticing a crucial mistake - I have used tropical instead of common air inlet :-wall - I decided to correct it by scratchbuilding actual front part of it - for that I have used Nescafe foil...
Here are pics of shaved part and insert I have made. Along I'm putting the picture where one could see the difference between 2 and 3 paint coats on the upper wing...

Hoping to continue faster... :-wave
