I'd forgotten to share my photos of the re-issued Kingfisher kit I finished in the last week or so. It's built in the markings of an Alaska-based Kingfisher from '43-'44. Good little kit, built out of the box.
If you build it it, two things to be careful of...
- When you close the fuselage halves up, be sure the wings are perpendicular to the fuselage. There is a little play in them, and they can be off a bit.
- If you build the land-plane version, glue the main gear parts on first, making sure they are even in all axis's, and let them dry. After that, work the central support struts in and adjust them as needed.
Failing to heed these will result in a Kingfisher like I have built.... crooked wings and it leans to one side....
