Thanks, friends!
I've assembled the SAC main landing gears and painted them. These are actually for the Trumpeter kit but will only require me to drill a couple of holes in the Monogram wing structure for them to fit. The old kit nose gear is still fixed into the bay so it has been repainted and will continue to serve:

Now that the grey has had time to fully dry the tailcone got a coat of Metalizer and the nose received the distinctive black radome and anti-glare panel:

You need much skill to mask tight to the probe on nose side

Last night the new SAC main landing gear assemblies were installed, and it fits so easily. I merely drilled a pair of holes in the Monogram wheelwells to accept the Trumpeter/SAC locating pins and used CA glue. Alignment was easy and the side struts and retract actuators fit just great!

Yes, or rather a remnant from storage. These airplanes were all sent to Davis Monthan AFB for storage and brought out of storage to drone them. The refurbished airplanes were badly faded and with lots of traces of the Spraylat sealer still showing.
