First I would like to thank Eduard for free sample product. The kit is a Bf 110 Weekend edition upgraded wit Eduard Brassin set for the model, scale 1/72. Now, let we see what you find in the box :

The model looks good, fine engraved panel lines, nice details, on dry testing all of the bigger parts fit very well, during the build we will see the rest. The brassin parts are simply amazing, very fine details, looking absolutely fantastic, the entire brassin cocpit could be a model for it self !

The larger brassin parts on their place, they fitted in perfectly, no additional adjustments were needed, in modern terms it's " plug and play " , bravo for eduard so far !

The grey is one of the most difficult colors to " give life " in, during the years I devoleped a painting method of my own which I think works fine, but you will be the judges am I right or wrong......First I applied a wash with burnt umber, it gives the grey a worn out-used look, broke down the monotony of it. Then to bring out the shadows with highly diluted black I made a wash again :

And for the last I made a dry brush with light grey, but much lighter than usual because the RLM 66 is too dark and thanks to the scale the cockpit is small so if I made it with a usual dry brush with not so light grey the details, which are great, would be lost, so I had to make a little compromise....

And so I joined the two halves of the fuselage. It is pretty good, not too much putty needed, just enough not to get too comfort and lazy but not enough to get me nervous :)

The hardest part during the wing build is to install the Brassin part under the wing, needs some extra work a lot of attention but it sure worth it !

The first serious problem is the joining of the wing section with the fuselage. The resin cockpit " sits " too low in the fuselage so I couldn't fit it nicely despite the sanding the cockpit floor to the maximum. lots of putty and sand-papering needed on this one. Unfortunately there will be lots of lost details to recover.....

A bit of advice, it's better to cut off the barrels of the mg and put it on safe place, the brassin is too easy to brake, and if you brake it ( and you will, trust me ) it's very possible you will never find those barrels again.....

I tried to mask the conopy properly, after the third attempt I decided to mask it all and paint it later with the brush.....

Of course, when I was taking of the masking disaster happend, the mask took of the paint so I had to do it all over again.......Well, not the whole model only the wing but still......

And then, decals came. I can only say they are perfect.As I show it to you earlier there are two versions of the tail swastika, one piece and sliced on half. Just for the fun of it I tried out the other version and even this was perfect, no trouble at all.

A few words about the model. The kit is really high-tech, and when it's done looks excellent even if it's built straight OOB, but with adding brassin it's amazing. I strongly advice buying express mask, it will save you a lot of time and nerves. If anybody was thinking about building an Bf110 in this scale I strongly recommend this kit !

The build was so long because 172 is " not my scale " for many years back I build only 1/48 and 1/35 so I had to rethink every step for a few times before I done it on the kit and it took a lot time.........But it is done now, so I would like to share it with all of you, thank you for following my build and thank you all for comments !
