« on: February 05, 2010, 08:35:08 PM »
I start today one slow build... this Venom will be in the Swiss AF markings, as proposed by decals instructions. Kit is 1/72 scale resin kit from CMR.

Yes, small and I have to fight with small offset, some 0.2 mm but enough to grind my eyes ;)

Weight is critical question in resin build as well the same resin is so heavy ;) Compared with styrene plastic.

Fuselage with its interior complete and maybe I will join wings and tail boom tonight. If I do that, next day with going into nitro action, it will get except of putty, coat of the surfacer.

Thank you :-flo And this is it for this evening- fuselage is mated with wings and tail boom. Horizontal tail is left for tomorrow as well first I have to sand whole areas on fuselage and after that I will cement horizontal tail with other parts and prepare it for spray in surfacer.

Most loving step in this type of build- mounting of the vacu formed canopy  :-love This image show dry run, position of the ejection seat trigger and hold with the strip if tape.

Canopy is protected with the mask provided in kit and next two images show kit coated with Gunze Sangyo liquid filler. If I get some time, tomorrow I will re-scribe a number of panels, lost during sanding, and correct small imperfections on surface ;)
