Valom released recently different boxes of the Fouga Magister at 1/72 scale. I've bought this one, that is consacred to the Belgian Air Force.
You can build one of two Belgian Fouga's: firstly the MT-24 with the classic aluminium livery; and the second one the MT-35 bearing an unusual "vietnam" camo. At his time some Belgian aircrafts were painted with the Vietnam camo: Thunderstreak, Thunderflash, F-104, Mirage 5... The crew of the Air Force made a kind of joke, painting the MT-35 with those 3-tones colors.
The MT-35 flew some times with that livery but finally was repainted in alu. It was also the last Fouga used by the BAF...
VALOM is a Czech company that realises short run kits. But when opening the box, you are wondering what does short run mean: kit is simply gorgeous! No flash; very fine injected parts; some photoetched elements; film for instrument panels; nice decals; some resin parts and what is gorgeous is that you have no less than 4 canopies: two are injected; one being the closed one and the second the open one. The two others are thermoformed for those who want thicker parts.
Building will start in the next few days...
