Progress on cockpit and fuselage assembly :)) And what is most interesting- quick analyze of archive images show that type have splinted scheme, not single top coat. So we have here reference build!!!

Join line canopy/fuselage must be sealed and flatten and behind need to be engraved line, where the cockpit is opened.

Very interesting and with its short wings a very basic glider. Don't know glide ratio of this plane. Modern gliders have a glide ratio of some 1:35 or more (for every 35 m of forward trajectory you'll lose 1 m of altitude). Think the best the BV 40 could do was some 1:10 to 1:12 and its landing speed must also have been quite high for a glider. Must have been well over 120 -130 km/h! With its not very streamlined nose section it definitely was not a high performer! With the pilot in prone position it must have been quite unconfortable.....

I think it could reach some 430 km/h in dive and each cannon have 35 rounds. So very limited combat capabilities, it could hit in one pass only.
