Just a remark upon this build (which is amazing) :

When the flaps are totally "down" i.e. 42°, both ailerons are 11° down. Generally, slats were open. This system has been abandonned only from the Bf 109 F onwards.

Yes, in this instance I decided to have the stick to a left-wing-down position, so the right aileron is far down and left just slightly up, this should be close to the 11 degree droop considering the stick position.

It's been a rather long summer, but I finally got this little machine built. It represents (from a Wings Palette profile, sadly I have no actual photo to confirm the machine) a Czech operated G-10 from the WNF Diana plant. The profile mentions that this airplane was on display after the war, whether it ever flew in these marks I cannot say. So......I reckon this might be a "might-have-been" scheme but I still found it quite attractive and it's a nice addition to my Messerschmitt fleet. The decals are from an ICM Spitfire sheet and the kit is stock Monogram/Revell G-10.

I am afraid... hope this will not cause much problems. Note that it have over spray at wing bottom in RLM 75 paint

No problem at all, No.1. Neither Jicehem or I had a photo of this one and I simply should have asked you or Nico also.... I reckon this is a good example of completing the research before applying paint or decals. It'll be fairly easy to fix at any rate. I'm just happy to see your photo and thanks for having it!

Now, the photo adds a question--the person who painted the Czech lozenge on the fuselage oriented it "incorrectly" it seems, as I thought the white third of the roundel was always on the top and aft, with blue segment forward. The Wings Palette profile is the same as the photo. Still, I will set about repairing and making mine accurate when I dig up some more roundels.

If the painter mirrored markings, this will make your kit more sensual and attractive

Good thing is, also, that I can simply strip off the roundels on the fuselage and the rest can be done with the airbrush. I'll go through my decals and hopefully have a couple more roundels that will serve for the "update".

Close to a year since any action on this thread but I think this build fits here better than a new thread. This is the old Hobbycraft Bf 109E kit that I got as a package deal with a Jumo-engined kit and another Emil. I had not built the Hobbycraft E before this and it is not the best kit on the market by a long way. The cockpit is pretty much identical with the B/C/D kits I've shown before and building this is quite the same as the Jumo machines. The decals were leftover spares-box items, mostly from the Hobbycraft line and I decided to build this as a factory-new machine just delivered to the Swiss. It's just a practice kit for my own curiosity, so don't look too closely!
