One quick photo of the finished Royal Yugoslavian Emil--bad lighting conditions outdoors but photos later:

Well, because I am so clumsy I have had to buy a new camera. I dropped my trusty old one and destroyed the lens mechanism. :-wall :-wall :-wall :-roll Otherwise I would have posted a few photos of this airplane sooner.

As stated before, this is the Airfix Emil and the decal sheet is from a quite old Aviation USK sheet that came in a group of decals I purchased a while back.

A secret---those were the last images I took with the old camera. I dropped it just after taking these and just swapped the memory card into the new unit. I'm still trying to learn the new one's operation......

Thanks fellows!

I purchased a Canon camera as I have always had them, both film and digital. I have broken a couple of them by my own stupidity and clumsiness but they always have been very dependable. The new one is giving me the normal "learning curve" problems to work through but it does look like it will be a good machine once it trains me to use it!

One more 109 to end the year 2013 and usher in the next one! This Emil and the 108 were companions when I purchased them so I reckon they can be companions on the workbench.....

Here is the Academy G-14 in the colors of II/JG27 in the late summer of 1944. A color photo exists of a line of JG27 machines with Yellow 2 in the foreground. Yellow 5 is the next airplane in line and this is the airplane I selected.

Hello !  :-salut

Unfortunately, "gelbe 5" of II./JG 27 is a Bf 109 G-6/AS... not a G-14. Sorry.

Thanks, Jicehem! I don't know how I missed that detail back when this model was built...... :-wall :-eek :-red

But, that gives me a chance to correct the error! :-tri
First a bit of disassembly:

Then some strong clear tape applied:
