Next on my list is another Academy kit, this one a G-14. I won't bore you with the normal build-up of this other than to mention that Academy designed this to be either a G-6 or G-14 with either the original style or later tall tail. To build the tall-tail version you must cut both fuselage halves off at a molded-in line on them. Then fit the new tail halves and a little putty is needed.

I'm still undecided on paint scheme but there are so many for the G-14 series!

A size comparison of the Bf 109 and Tempest--what a monster the RAF had there! :-eek

Here is a sneak-peek of my new Falcon G-12 kit:

The plastic and white-metal parts are molded much like an LTD short-run kit with large molding stubs but the cockpit detail looks pretty nice. With some cleanup and proper preparation this won't be too bad to construct. The main draw for me was the decal sheet and canopy parts. There are decals for several trainers and both the flat-topped and curved roof canopy sections are included. My plan is to build one model with what you see here and use the left-over canopy and decals to convert a Hasegawa kit into a two seater. My spares box will also come into play for some of the detail parts, I reckon.
