Both of these are finished now. I was somewhat disappointed with my decal application on the Italian machine. The decals aren't to fault, though (I think) as I've used Sky Decal products before without silvering. So, here is the Bf 109G-6 as flown by ace Mario Bellagambi in 1943:

The Airfix E-7 is finished in the rather famous "Schwarz 8" scheme of JG 27. These decals came from the Eduard Royal Class Emil decal sheet. This was the scheme Ellen wanted me to use on the Eduard review kit but I talked her into the Jabo scheme then:

It's time to fill in another of the blank spaces in my Messerschmitt collection, the Czech Avia S-199. I found an old Hobbycraft S-199 and could not resist it. I'll build this one with the Israeli markings that come in the kit, and in future will build a Czech marked machine, too. The kit is typical of the Hobbycraft kits and shares many parts with the German manufactured G/K. The fuselage, prop, etc. are all different reflecting the Jumo powerplant and cowlings.

Yep, Messerschmitt, Avia, and Hispano all built the two seaters so there could be a great number of them! I must start casting about for a conversion kit one of these days. :-think :-paper
