I gave up on the refrigerator repairs (it still works) and went back to painting the '109.

Yes! Actually the problem is with the ice-making attachment so the beer is still cold. :-ok

I have more to add about the canopies in this kit. The after section fits beautifully to the fuselage. The front windscreen section seems just a little narrower along the bottom edge than the cutout in the fuselage. I didn't really notice this until after I'd applied the first coat of paint. It isn't a huge problem and a little filler will fix it, but be aware of this if you build this kit.

Clear gloss is on, decals tomorrow if time allows. :-ok

Yesterday I received the Bf-109F2 kit made by Zvezda. This has been on my "must have" list since I first heard of it and it is beautiful. Here are a few photos of some of the detail. Notice that there are four windscreens and the early and late configuration. The rest speaks for itself!

I will probably save this for a later build as I'd like to do a "contest-worthy" construction on it.

Yes, it looks great to me also. It may be a time before I tackle this one as I have plans for it.

No.1, I'm thinking about either all cowlings open or an engine change in progress. Not sure yet, but the kit demands more than being all cowled up.

Zvezda can make excellent kit when they want, like MiG-21, which i build. But they know to shit up things sometimes...
Zvezda MiG-21Bis/PFM 1/72 is definitely the best MiG-21Bis/PFM kit in 1/72 on market. DEFINITELY!!
This kit is also very nice. ;)

The ICM one is great, but this is much better. I hope you really enjoy it. Hungarian version in experimental camouflage? The Airfix 1:48 kit was also very good, apart from the raised lines. I've seen it turned into a lovely model.

Nice choice, Scott :)
