I like the 'distressed' effect of the upper camouflage, nice blending. What wash will you give the panel lines? I like the idea of using dark brown preshading for underneath and a darker grey or black on top. I saw this technique on a large scale model and wondered what the forum thinks? Has anyone tried it?

I use no wash but several coats of over diluted paint. Best basic effect for later dirt effects.

Thank you :))

Gentlemen, your builds in this thread are simply great and it's a pleasure to congratulate you for them. No matter how good or bad the kit is, you manage to finish it.

It's been over 15 years since I last built a 109, but with this group build I think I might recover one of those old kits and re-finish them as Scott did.

Food for thought!

Have a nice weekend, guys.

YES!!!!  :-clapPlease do a restoration project--I've found them to be almost more fun that buiding from a new kit and I think you'll find it just as enjoyable.

Your new ship is looking great, No.1. :-flo I may start on an E this weekend if time permits.
