Title: Bell P-39N Airacobra
Post by: Jicehem on October 24, 2014, 09:18:23 AM
Hi everybody,

Here is the Bell P-39N by Monogram in 1/48 scale. It was built decades ago by a friend of mine but not... very well. In 1980 I was given this kit  instead of being destroyed by the guy and I decided to dismantle it and then rebuild it.
As I already had one in US Army markings (Built in 1979. Sorry, no photographs available) I decided to finish my new one in french markings thanks to an Microscale (aka Superscale) decal sheet. The markings are those of GC 1/4 "Navarre" in the fall of 1944. The cocades were absent of the decal sheet... Not a good idea !
The result :

I like this one very much! It's inspiring me to also finish my current P-39 in French colors.
