Thanks, y'all!

This will get bogged down with other duties I have.....but it is really beautiful resin that Eduard has made here. Hopefully some detail painting can be done and then start to assemble the cockpit tub yet this week.

Some progress is being made on the Tempest, especially in the cockpit area. The resin and PE parts that Eduard provides are simply AWESOME! As a start, here is the instrument panel. There is still some detail painting to accomplish here but I wanted to show off what comes in this kit:

Next update--working with more of the PE elements and assembling some of the major cockpit parts. I still have some touching up to do and detail painting but this evening's session is over.

The next step was to fit the cockpit sidewalls and finish trimming the cockpit tub. The bottom and sides of the tub need some grinding and filing to remove excess material. Especially the bottom of the cockpit floor and the two wheelwell bays need material removed for correct fit, just as No.1 did on his review of this same kit.

At this same time the fuselage halves were joined and the seams corrected. These fit quite well and don't need a lot of work.

Once everything was ready the cockpit tub was inserted into the fuselage and wing attached. The wing root area needed a bit of filler on my kit and this will be the next step, sanding/priming/sanding/etc.
