It's not that I have so much time to build, I simply don't do a very good job and build them fast! I took a very long hiatus from model building and I have truly enjoyed these builds since joining LLL. None of what I've built is competition-worthy but the building has been so relaxing for me!

I think I will simply add this next Fw 190 onto the old thread as it is exactly the same kit as the Hungarian one.

I've picked up this Accurate Miniatures re-boxing of the Eduard Fw 190A-8 for a bargain price. This is the same kit as a Weekend Edition version, with only one decal option and no PE parts. All Accurate Miniatures did was repackage it in their boxing. Incidentally, my kit came without decals (part of the reason it was so inexpensive) but I'm doing one of my own liking anyway. In fact, I'll be converting this to an F-8 fighter-bomber version. Really the only new item I'm trying here is the excellent Eduard wooden flap PE set that you've seen on it's own thread.

First part was to get the flap pieces sorted out and building the wing. Next I assembled the interior and fuselage, then joined it all together. That's where it is situated right now:

Model projects have slowed down here, but I've managed to fit the canopy parts. Then I sprayed the clear parts with RLM 66 for the interior color and finally started with priming and filling. Not much is needed on these Eduard Fw-190s!

Today I sprayed the "former owner's" markings with a contrasting color, as on the real airplane:

Here's how I did these overpainted numerals this time.....First I found some 2s in the decal box, then I copied them on the printer twice. On the real airplane they were probably brush-painted over and left a slightly irregular shape so I cut out the stencils a little sloppily also. Then I just found the right color of grey and sprayed them on:
