Well, it was nice while it lasted, but unfortunately it was a short life.....The turret follows the quality of the hull, 90% of the joints are perfect but the rest 10% is disaster ! The heavy duty tools are out again.....

So true, No.1 so true, an experience is needed on this one.....

Well, I sanded and polished all the " hard work " and I said to my self, from now on this will be a walk in the park. I was wrong, so wrong......

One of my biggest worries at start of this project was the gun barrel, this is actually the worst parts of any plastic kit because of the two halves after putting together and sanding loose the round cross section. I was even considering an ordering an aluminium barrel, but later on I decided to wait and see, it's never too late to order one..... And the big surprise came, the barrel fits perfectly and a minimum putty and sanding is needed and actually looks fantastic !

Nice progress, and good to see your gun tube was able to be used. I had the same idea on my Tiger I to order aluminum or turn one here at home, but the plastic parts worked well.

the turret is done as far as the plastic parts are considered, a few minor filling and small weldings before mounting the etched parts
