One almost forgotten fighter Vought F7U Cutlass, very interesting design :) Lets start with technical drawings and continue with archive images ;)

Great pictures !
There are some inaccuracies : plane 124419 is not an XF7U-1 but a production F7U-1 (BuNo 124415 through 124434).
The three prototypes were numbered 122472 to 122474.
The last photo of your last post shows an XF7U-3 (125410 and 125411)

This is a ptoduction F7U-3 (second batch of 25 aircraft : 128451 through 128475)

Maybe 129580 or 129680, not 129880, last batch being 129523 to 129756 including 128745 to 129756 as F7U-3P.

This is a neat machine and thanks for the photos, No.1.

If only more powerful engines had been developed when the airplane was in service it might have stayed in the fleet for longer. I don't think the pilots were all that sorry to see them go, though. When that extra-long nose strut failed landing on the carrier it would cause some severe back injuries.
