Didn't left much but still there are some photos of photos - some are of poor quality, but maybe they are interesting in some way. I didn't have time to note or remember what are they about, but I think it is mostly a flying school - some historical photos, pilots, groups, airplanes, then fugas again, parades, lashing (did I say good ) ritual, then the badges of different services (or squadrons, or wings - I really do not know)... photo's are posted in order as they were took.

Now here is the moment when I was almost exhausted, and my friends in nearby Beer Sheba called that they are coming to pick me up. So I took these scenes - a lot of UAVs, more Helis and one Dakota, but it is all just together... well; I was very sad, but in fact there are good chances that I could be there again for much longer time

Also I made 2 panoramas: first from the hangar with airworthy machines (phot.1: panorama, phot.2-6:separated photo's) and another from the entrance in to the Stratocruiser (phot.7-11);

and two specific shots with tails motive (phot.12: kfirs tails; phot.13: kfirs and phantoms tails)...

Notice the Kfir in 12 and 13 with "Marines" on the aft fuselage and the tiny red star on the tail? I wonder if this is one of the Kfirs that was stationed in the U.S. back in the late eighties--they were named F-21 in the States. We lived in Yuma, Arizona during part of the time they were stationed at MCAS Yuma for dissimilar combat training. The Israeli crews had individual open-sided sheds to give them shade in their parking areas.

I discovered a drawing of a Marine Corps F-21 and it confirmed that the one in Letipapa's picture served at MCAS Yuma. I find it pretty neat that I could travel to Israel to see an airplane that used to fly over my head in Arizona!! Now if I just had some idea of where the pictures went that I took when I lived in Yuma.

As an aside to my Yuma story, the U.S. government leased the Kfirs from the Israelis complete with crews as I recall. Sadly a ground crew member (not certain if he was an Israeli or American) lost his life in the winter of '88/'89 when the ejection seat fired in the F-21 he was working on. It was very somber news and is one of those things that one remembers. The flight line can be a dangerous occupation.

That accident with ejection is terrible, but things happen.
