Hello mates: Any ideas? I received this card from Russia today :-green
-
Lockheed S-3 Viking
Nice photo!
-
Oh yes :) Now that you say it.....would not have thought in that direction :-ok
-
When receiving the card from Russia, one definitely doesn't expect image of Lockheed on it :))
-
Chance to continue with this subject- I have some images to find out what types are there.
-
The third picture is the Consolidated XB-32. Second photo is a Fairchild? I think.....
-
Second one is Fairchild Model 24 with a Ranger engine.
Same model was also built with Warner Scarab radial engine.
-
Thanks :))
-
Still working on that first one....... Aha! Handley Page Hastings TG528.
-
Helicopter is an early Westland Puma I believe.
-
Excellent!!!
-
the helicopter seems like a Puma
-
Thanks :))
-
Incidentally, that XB-32 is the second prototype, 41-142. This photo was taken very early in the flight test program as the airplane still has three-bladed propellers and the prewar style rudder stripes.
-
Thanks mate :)) I will prepare later new set of images ;)
-
Next set of images...
-
Production B-32s also had the twin fins replaced by a large central vertical fin.
In fact the B-32 was a 'fail-safe' program for the B-29 Superfortress.
-
Second image shows Martin 2-0-2, third a De Havilland Heron and last one is civil conversion of Short Stirling bomber
-
Great!!! In the meantime I find the first one, LVG C.VI Latvian AF no. 24, crash 1.10.1921
-
I have made 30 years ago (summer 1986) a 45 minutes flight as a passenger in the Heron from Schiphol airport.
See attached!
-
I know this plane, I took few images when I was at Aviodrome but as well airliners are not my area, I simply forget what is this. Thank you :-ok
-
What you photographed was the twin engine De Havilland Dove!
-
Here is the De Havilland Dove!
I made this picture with my Agfa Clack 6x9 box camera when I was 14 years old......
-
Oooops... true ;)
-
