The caption here was "We had a swim call in the Gulf of Thailand on deployment and an F-18 from the Abe Lincoln flew right over us. You cannot see it with the embed script.  :-eek

Impressive!
These shots remind me of our US motorcycle vacation in 2002. When we had crossed Death Valley we entered the shooting range and flight training area near Nelis AFB. One F-18 jockey discovered our group of motorcycles and gave us an 100% private airshow with some impressive aerobatics and he said us goodbye with a very low zoom flight. Not everybody of our group could appreciate this, but that F-18 pilot really had made MY day!

Yeah that video reminded me strongly about the many summers i spent in France lying in my hammock at my uncles farm and suddenly one or two Mirage 2000 5F from Dijon Air base thundering at very low altitude over our heads  :)) You never hear them coming until they are there. Happens sometimes 2-3 times a day. In Germany it would never be allowed to make such low level flights even in sparsely populated areas.
